Replying to a question in Lok Sabha today the Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey informed that there are 156 villages in 7 blocks have been identified for development under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) for tribal development in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.
The Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh has two Integrated Tribal Development Projects (ITDPs), namely ITDP Bharmour and ITDP Pangi. Under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), 30 villages in ITDP Bharmour and 48 villages in ITDP Pangi have been selected for coverage. Under the interventions of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA), Government of India, projects amounting to ₹551.11 lakh in ITDP Bharmour and ₹851.00 lakh in ITDP Pangi have been approved so far.
